On this week's episode of the Date Podcast, this was literally one week before Garrett and I went and competed in our first muscle competition together. We talk about our journey to prep for this show together. One of the interesting topics that we discuss is people struggling with commitment because they don’t believe the results are possible.
Last year, Garrett decided to start lifting weights. Within nine months, he looked like a different human. When I put his before and after side-by-side, he couldn’t believe it. He didn’t even recognize the old version of himself. The crazy part is he was already putting in time.
He was an avid surfer and would work out almost every day. His diet was all over the place. He’s a busy entrepreneur and often would either not eat or eat 16 Cliff bars or one giant meal at the end of the day. I told him this problem could be solved by changing his patterns and not doing more work. If anything, it could make his life easier. When we sat there and looked at his side-by-side photos, we realized he didn’t put any more work into what he was doing. He just shifted what he was doing to give him a different outcome.
How many areas in your life do you sale yourself short because you think the result is unachievable or too complicated? "You don’t have enough time" is a common excuse. But what if I told you it’s a matter of changing your patterns to give you a different outcome? It’s about letting go of old stories and limiting beliefs. Simple consistencies can change your life and define who you become in this lifetime.
The reason I titled this show "There is a Price to Poverty and Prosperity" is because Garrett and I have experienced this at every level.
Life was hard when we were broke and lost everything. Life can be hard when we are thriving in our business. Life can be challenging. Choose your pain and create the best version of you in this life. For me its not just about how I look in a bikini, but the woman I have become in the process.

Hi Danielle! I am living for your blog and YouTube. It's so inspiring to see a wife, mother and founder nail every area of life. I've founded two businesses but always struggle to live in my ideal body, habituating a lot of the habits you know well...SoulCycle then barely eating, etc. I'd love to hear more about your weekly schedule. I originally popped on YouTube, but these days I find it hard to film for promotional content alongside running the businesses. Thank you for all you share. Gratefully, Lisamarie paperandglam.com
