Welcome to the New Version of the Big Money Stylist Podcast!

In today's episode, we have Emily Ford as our special guest.

We cover a wide range of topics, starting from the beginning of Emily's story 10 years ago, when she essentially started from nothing. Often, we see people with success, but we don't see the journey it took to get there.

One of the big things we discuss is creating an authentic brand. It's about showing your audience the highlights, but also giving them a glimpse behind the scenes. Building connection and trust with your audience is crucial. Everyone has the ability to develop a personal brand. One of Emily's strengths is helping people discover their authentic selves and that "it" factor inside them to effectively position themselves. I loved hearing more about her thought process on extracting this and creating a plan.

We also delve into the balance of being a strong businesswoman while maintaining femininity. In my experience, building anything requires tapping into masculine energy. However, to be in a healthy relationship, you also need to learn how to embrace your feminine side and balance both energies.

This is an important topic even if you're not a "boss babe." Many moms, though not pursuing a career, focus on their kids and managing the home, which is a full-time job that also requires masculine energy at times. It's vital to tap into your masculine side while maintaining feminine energy.

Emily shared an important insight: when you're constantly in your masculine energy, it's exhausting. I can completely relate to this, and I know many hairstylists can too. We often burn ourselves out, sacrificing our marriages and families. It's essential to set boundaries and maintain balance for your well-being and relationships.

As a woman entrepreneur myself, I've had those long 12-hour days traveling for work to build my brand and business, missing out on time with my children and husband, a struggle many entrepreneurs face. Sometimes you feel guilty for not working, but ultimately, you can only sustain that pace for a season.

One of the things I loved that she shared was the disciplined pursuit of taking time off. In my experience, if you can't allow yourself time and balance, you'll miss out on opportunities or doors that may open.

We also talk about God, which I know is a scary topic for many people. It's wild to me because there are so many topics we're not afraid to discuss, yet God is considered risky. I love her perspective on this and how open she is with her faith and relationship with God. We discuss how having faith can lead to more opportunities because you're willing to listen.

There are so many valuable insights from this podcast. Go listen to it; I promise it will inspire you to accept your calling. Use your stories, gifts, and talents to grow yourself and impact others.

I started this podcast over five years ago, initially talking to hairstylists. Recently, I felt called to expand this podcast to still help hairstylists but ultimately have a bigger reach.
