Today, on my Big Money Stylist podcast, I had the pleasure of interviewing Natalie Jill.
As a mom on a continuous fitness journey, I’ve always connected with her social media messages. Intrigued, I asked if she would be interested in joining me for an episode. To my surprise, I discovered that Natalie had been wearing hair extensions for over 20 years. Naturally, I knew she’d be hooked with NBR hair extensions once she tried them.
Many people mistakenly believe that all hand-tied or beaded hair extensions are the same, but I was eager to show Natalie the difference. I invited her to my home, and during this podcast, we delved into her journey to success, the inception of her brand, and the importance of consistently reinventing oneself based on life’s ever-changing circumstances.
One of the most powerful insights Natalie shared was her willingness to talk about her struggles while still experiencing them. This is a rare and impactful approach. Often, we only hear about someone’s journey after they’ve overcome their challenges. Natalie started her brand by openly discussing how she lost nearly 70 pounds on her 5’2” frame, which sparked a movement. It all began with her sharing her personal story.
When I asked what inspired her, Natalie’s answer was profound: “To not share would be selfish.” This resonated deeply with me. It’s a principle I’ve embraced in my own life—despite the fear of vulnerability, we must consider the impact we could have by sharing our experiences.
Natalie also had me on her podcast, coming out soon, where I dish all the tea on what makes NBR hair extensions and Isla hand-tied hair the top choice in hair extensions!
After the podcast, I naturally invited her to my salon, DKW Styling, located in Laguna Beach, California, where I gave her a transformation. It was fun to get to know her more, and at the end of our appointment, she couldn’t believe how lightweight and well everything blended. She told me that after wearing hair extensions for over 20 years, these were probably her favorite so far, which I absolutely love hearing.
Having worn hair extensions for over 20 years and having worked on pretty much everything you can imagine when it comes to hair extensions, her feedback meant the world to me.
Don’t miss a new episode of the Big Money Stylist Podcast every Tuesday, and make sure to follow Natalie’s content on social media!
