I've been behind the chair for over two decades, and 12 years ago, I started the brand of Natural Beaded Row hair extensions. I pretty much went against everything that was taught in our industry. I stopped taking every single service, stopped working Saturdays, stopped working late nights, and only specialized in hair extensions. At this point, I realized I had done something in the industry that very few have figured out. I now am a salon owner and coach thousands of artists, including those who are just getting started in the industry: commission artists, booth renters, and salon owners.
In today’s podcast, I’m talking with one of my Natural Beaded Row licensed artists who went through my one-year academy program. Inside the Academy, we teach something that is just not offered in the hair industry, which is how to set up your business correctly. As well as how to market and correctly brand yourself
You have to become more than just an artist to have success. Britta shares her journey of how important it is to have good salon culture and a team dynamic in order to have a thriving business. It’s taught our industry that once you’ve completely filled your book, you must become a salon owner, but this is not everyone’s path. It’s so important to have a foundation in order to have a successful salon, and a thriving culture and team are everything.
