On this week's episode of the Date Your Wife podcast, we are talking about addiction and sedation. Everybody has their guilty pleasures, and everyone follows specific patterns and rules. I like to ask myself a simple question: Is this working for me? Is it getting the outcome that I’m looking for? Often, we follow a set of rules and don’t even question them. I like to think of it as rewiring your brain at times.
Garrett and I are fresh off our Cancun trip, and he shares his story of how one addiction may seem manageable for some time and then may become a problem. Recognizing when it’s become a problem and doing something about it is probably the hardest.
We also touch base on how you have to switch gears as entrepreneurs raising a family. My business or boss version of myself differs significantly from my mother and wife roles.
Ladies, I can’t stress enough the importance of keeping your feminine.
You can be a powerhouse boss, but as a wife, in my experience, this is a different role. It’s essential to separate to have a healthy marriage. I learned this the hard way as my hair empire started to take off. I noticed that I had to make a conscious effort to still play a very feminine, flirty role inside of my marriage. I wasn’t in competition with my husband. We were equal in different ways. And the truth is, I wanted to be feminine. I wanted to be taken care of and feel safe. Don’t take this away from your man.
This is something that’s vastly missing in today’s woman boss message. In my experience, it's powerful if you can play both roles.
Everyone has the power to reprogram their brain, rewrite their story, and create a new one, but you have to let go of patterns that are not serving you!
Don’t miss a new episode of the Date Your Wife podcast every Monday, where we talk about everything from kids, business, family, intimacy, and how we have created the life you see today.
